Help Me Get There – Mayo Clinic Social Media Summit

May I call in a favor? I need a vote from you. All it takes is a quick click on the “like” or “tweet” button at the bottom of my contest entry.

I’m trying to get to the Mayo Clinic Social Media Summit this October in Rochester, MN (a 90-minute drive from home).

These conferences are incredible experiences, but registration costs nearly $1200.  That doesn’t include lodging, travel, or meals.  Financially, that is way out of reach for this poor blogger (starving artist?).

Lucky for me, Mayo Clinic’s Social Media Center has created the Patient/Caregiver Scholarship Contest which will provide three full scholarships to the conference!

I entered the contest, and need your votes!

Scott's Contest Essay

Scroll down to the bottom and click the “like” or “tweet” button, and you’ll have cast a very-much-appreciated vote.  Don’t tell anyone I said this, but if you’re pressed for time you don’t even need to read it.  Just scroll down and vote.

If you are interested and available, there is still time to enter the contest (deadline is August 3, 2012).  Check out the contest announcement for details.   I hope you’ll think about entering.  I think it’s important for conference organizers to see a high demand for patient/caregiver input at these conferences, and this is one channel to express that demand.

Good luck to you, and good luck to me!

Thank you!
